Showcase

The showcase was amazing. Except I looked like a goof wearing my cheer uniform from recruiting at Waluga earlier that day. I'm excited for our end of the year project. yayuh!

Done!

It feels so good to be done with all of my concentration pieces. I dunno how I did it. I cranked out three pieces in 5 days, which is pretty much a record for me. But now I know that I can do it, so there's less pressure in the future if I have a harsh deadline.

Home Stretch

WOW. All of our work is due this thursday for slides, and i still have two more pieces to finish. I can't believe how fast I've been working this past week. I cranked out an entire painting of my sister in a day and a half. But I still have to finish the painting of my "friends" and one of my step dad, which makes me really uneasy.

new york

so i've been in new york and washington d.c. for the last week. I went to all of the sweet museums in d.c. and I actually saw a ton of art. Whether it was ancient, old, or super freakin old, or new, it was all interesting. so i have a few new ideas from that.

no more break :[

break was amazing, and i'm kinda sad that judy isn't gonna be with us anymore. i was really starting to like working with the wax, and i think it's a medium that i will for sure like to do in the future. i liked it so much that i'm using two pieces as concentration pieces. let me know what you think.

New Subject....finally

I feel gross. That's the only word I can think of. My mom just came back from visiting my grandparents in New Jersey, and she was telling me stories that made me realize how much I love and look up to my grandpa Yo Yo. So there you have it, my new subject. That was easy. I guess what I need to do is to wait for someone to inspire me rather than trying to search for that inspiration and forcing myself to half-ass passion. Anyway, I found a really sweet picture of my grandpa playing with polar bears that I can work off of. I've never painted snow before, so I'm pretty nervous. But I'm just gonna dive into it like I do the rest of my pieces and hope for the best.

So I'm working on my Mrs. McBride piece and I still don't know what to do with the background. I kind of gave up and started working with molding paste and glue, and i started drawing her in. Holla if you gots any ideas.

I'm sssiiiiiccckkkk. BOOOO. But at the same time, no boo, because I got to stay home and think about what I'm going to do with my Mrs. McBride piece. I can't figure out the layout, so if you happen to peep over my shoulder in class soon, holla and give me some pointers because I have no idea how to start this one.
